Established in early 1995, Mary Poppins Nannies has gained a reputation as a friendly and professional Canberra-based company, which provides childcare in the family’s own home. We believe that children benefit from being cared for in a familiar environment, surrounded by their own belongings, toys and pets, where their routines are disrupted as little as possible.
You and your family will receive personalised attention from all Mary Poppins Nannies staff - our aim is to provide a quality service to all our clients, while our experienced nannies will ensure that your children always have the best care. We have staff of all ages and with varied levels of experience and qualifications. All of our nannies have a love of children, some are extroverted, bouncy, bubbly and with lots to talk about, while others take a different approach with the children, sitting quietly and giving them the space to come to the nanny in their own time and way. Mary Poppins Nannies receive a myriad of requests for permanent and casual childcare, anything from 2-3 hours once only, to 45-50 hours each week on a long term basis, and we have a number of options for you to consider.
In the home we cater for:- Full time or part time childcare , Before and/or After School childcare , Casual day or evening childcare , Long term or short term , Live-Out or Live-In , Overnight or Short-Term Live-In . Mary Poppins Nannies interviews every carer before we put them forward for any casual positions or interviews with families. We contact their referees and ensure they have, or are qualifying for the relevant First Aid Certificates. In the process of being registered with Mary Poppins Nannies they must undergo an Australian Federal Police check. Most have a current drivers’ licence and many have their own car. Agency employed carers are covered with workers compensation, public liability and professional indemnity insurances.
Our clients have the options of employing full time or part time nannies themselves or of having Mary Poppins Nannies employ the nanny. Conditions do apply in both situations, so it is a case of which way best suits your individual circumstances. |
